A set of four porcelain espresso cups with saucers by Vista Alegre, created to mark the 250th anniversary of Ludwig van Beethoven's birth. Each piece carries a distinct illustration: a conductor commanding the air, a musician seated on a flowing musical staff, an orchestra performing in the branches of a tree, a grand piano suspended above the clouds. The imagery moves between the dreamlike and the musical, treating Beethoven as a living force rather than a monument.
Made in Portugal by Vista Alegre, one of the world's most respected porcelain houses. Includes four cups and four saucers with gold rim detail, presented in original Vista Alegre packaging. A piece for a table, a shelf, or a music room, and a gift for anyone for whom classical music is more than background.
